I have seen a lot of snow sculptures in my hometown of Winnipeg but the ones carved out for the competition during Sourdough Rendezvous were incredible. Teams from all over the world were in town to showcase their talents. It was fascinating to hear the stories that surrounded the remarkable creations.

Despite the sun beating down and the mild temperatures (and countless people touching and climbing on some of them) they held up all weekend.

In the end it was Team Austria that took the top prize. You can see me standing with their sculpture earlier in the weekend. I had a chance to talk with Team Yukon and Team China about their works of art.
