When I was told my time in Yukon would include a private cottage on the lake overlooking the mountains... well, I dunno. There are no words. Actually, there are. At least a thousand if you look at these pictures.

Southern Lakes Resort doesn't disappoint. Hopping a small plane we flew from Whitehorse to Tagish Lake where we were welcomed by the friendliest staff you could ever hope for -- and the most delicious salads and chicken you could ever eat. After you pull yourself away from the main lodge you walk a short way to your cabin in the still silence of nature.
